The ECB cuts interest rates by 25 basis points, market focuses on the latest Fed statement
According to Jinse, the ECB cut interest rates by 25 basis points as expected, marking the seventh rate cut in the past year, and the decision was unanimously approved. In addition, Trump has urged the Fed to lower interest rates as the ECB should already have done. The latest CME "Fed Watch" data shows that the probability of maintaining rates in May is 86.3%, with a 13.7% probability of a 25 basis point cut. For June, the probability of maintaining rates is 38.2%, with a cumulative probability of a 25 basis point cut at 54.1%, and a 50 basis point cut at 7.6%. Overall, monetary policy easing and severe global trade conditions have become two major factors supporting gold prices recently. (Jinshi)
