Notice on new rules and regulations for order cancellation

2025-03-13 09:25342518

To create a safer, more transparent, and efficient P2P marketplace, Bitget P2P has implemented new measurements. These changes encourage both merchants and users to engage responsibly when interacting with other parties. Additionally, we aim to minimize order cancellations without valid reasons.

Please note that these measures apply only to takers on the Buy page.

Takers on the Buy page who initiated more than a certain number of cancellations within a day may face restrictions on trading. The restriction will depend on the frequency and nature of the cancellations.

Types of cancellation

Definition

Examples

Benign

P2P orders canceled by takers due to uncontrollable circumstances or external factors

  • Identity mismatch
  • Bank transfer issues
  • Mutually agreed cancellation
  • Etc.

Spontaneous

P2P orders canceled by takers due to personal reasons

  • Unintentional placement of order, or out of curiosity
  • Order timed out due to unfamiliarity of product features
  • Etc.

Malicious

P2P orders that enter the appeal process and is judged as malicious cancellation by customer service

  • Identified as scammer by customer service
  • Uploaded fake receipts
  • Clicked “Paid” but did not respond further
  • Etc.

Restrictions may be imposed for 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or 24 hours. During these periods, takers will not be able to buy coins on BUY page. These restrictions are accumulative and may be triggered repeatedly. For example, if a taker triggered the 15-minute restriction three times, it could result in a 24-hour ban on the third occurrence.

New users who are still familiarizing themselves with P2P products will benefit from more relaxed conditions, but they are still subject to the same types of restrictions. Any malicious behaviors may result in a permanent account ban.
