40.000 ETH Added to US ETFs After Sentiment Shifts Towards Ethereum
The Ethereum (ETH) market may be entering a new phase of institutional optimism. According to data from Glassnode, Ethereum ETFs in the United States have seen their first positive net inflow after eight consecutive weeks of outflows.
The move is still considered modest — around 40.000 ETH were added — but it represents a potential turning point in investor sentiment towards Ethereum exposure. Up until now, the market had been facing weeks of selling pressure, reflecting macroeconomic concerns and direct competition from Bitcoin.
Glassnode highlighted that, in terms of dollar volume, recent crypto asset flows have reached remarkable levels. For Bitcoin, for example, the flow recorded in recent days is already the third largest in history, behind only the movements of November 18, 2024 (US$ 3,33 billion) and December 2, 2024 (US$ 2,91 billion).
While the inflow into Ethereum was significantly lower than that seen in Bitcoin, reversing eight weeks of consecutive outflows is interpreted as a positive sign. “The inflow was relatively modest – approximately $40.000 – but marks a potential shift in sentiment around #ETH exposure,” Glassnode commented on its X (formerly Twitter) profile.
Meanwhile, US #Ethereum ETFs recorded their first positive net inflow after eight consecutive weeks of outflows.

The move comes as investors begin to reconsider Ethereum's potential in the context of newly launched ETFs, especially after the price recovery and the strengthening of the decentralized finance (DeFi) and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) ecosystem.
Market analysts suggest that if this positive flow trend continues, Ethereum could regain its place among the most heavily weighted institutional allocations, especially as new ETF strategies and staking-based financial products begin to be discussed in the United States.
At the time of publication, the price of ETH was quoted at US$1.759,66 with a drop of 2% in the last 24 hours.
