Reuters: Trump hints that US-China tariff hikes may end
according to Reuters, US President Trump said on Thursday that the mutual imposition of tariffs between the US and China may soon end, and hinted that an agreement on the fate of TikTok may need to wait. He told reporters at the White House: "I don't want tariffs to continue to rise, because when it reaches a certain point, people stop buying."
Trump said that since imposing tariffs, China has been in contact with the US and is optimistic about reaching an agreement. Although the two sides are still in contact, sources said that the freedom and high-level exchanges that could lead to an agreement have not yet taken place.
