Agency: Trump's tariff policy shift is positive, but uncertainty remains
David Cassidy, chief investment strategist at Wilsons Advisory, said that investors seem to favor the view that Trump's so-called reciprocal tariffs will fall significantly before the 90-day suspension period ends. Cassidy said, "Compared to 24 hours ago, we believe this is a major positive factor for the global and US economies and major asset markets." However, he said, there is still a lot of uncertainty. Cassidy added, "Despite the stock market rebound and improved outlook, some additional risk premiums on US assets may be permanent or may take several years to unwind."
