MegaETH Debuts Testnet with Impressive Performance, Reaching 20.000 TPS
- MegaETH’s High TPS Capacity Challenges Competitors

- Target 100.000 TPS with minimal latency
MegaETH has launched its public testnet, marking a significant step forward in the field of scalability solutions for Ethereum. The launch promises revolutionary processing of 20.000 transactions per second and block times reduced to just 10 milliseconds.
Comparatively, while Solana has a theoretical limit of 65.000 TPS, its actual average transfer rate hovers around 1.500 TPS, according to market data.

Diverging from traditional methods, MegaETH developers have opted for a scalability approach that stands apart from Ethereum’s rollup-based approach, which focuses primarily on Layer 2 solutions. MegaETH aims to establish itself as a high-performance and efficient solution.
The system adopts techniques similar to those of Optimistic and ZK rollups, performing transaction processing outside of the Ethereum base layer but still relying on it for security. To achieve parallel transaction execution, MegaETH uses innovations such as EigenDA and specialized sequencers.
Aiming for a future where it can reach up to 100.000 TPS with a latency of less than a millisecond, MegaETH positions itself as a potential player in the evolution of Ethereum's infrastructure.
