Olas has announced the launch of Pearl, an innovative platform that functions as an app store for artificial intelligence (AI) agents. The project was boosted by a $13,8 million investment led by 1kx, with the participation of funds such as Tioga Capital, Sigil Fund, Zee Prime Capital and Spaceship DAO. The goal is to expand the ecosystem of decentralized AI agents and give users more control over their interactions with autonomous technologies.

Since 2021, Olas has established itself as a reference in the intersection between AI and crypto, processing more than 700 monthly transactions across nine blockchains. What is noteworthy is the volume of autonomous transactions carried out between the AI ​​agents themselves, which already exceeds 2 million, highlighting the potential of the platform's infrastructure and its practical utility in the crypto environment.

Pearl is a desktop application that allows users to create, customize, and own their own on-chain AI agents. Unlike traditional solutions that rely on centralized platforms, Pearl gives users the ability to directly control the behavior of their blockchain agents. According to David Minarsch, CEO of Olas, “Pearl’s agent app store represents a significant step forward in democratizing access to AI. To further drive the ecosystem’s development, Olas has launched the Olas Accelerator, a program that offers up to $1 million in grants to developers interested in building new agents for Pearl. Each team can receive up to $100, as well as OLAS tokens, to incentivize innovation.

Another highlight of Olas is its Proof of Active Agent (PoAA) mechanism, which rewards users when their agents perform useful activities on the network. This approach not only encourages active user participation but also strengthens the concept of decentralized co-ownership of AI agents.
