On January 24th, Friends With Benefits (FWB), a creative self-made organization, announced that its software development team, Scene Infrastructure Company, has completed a $3 million seed round of financing, with a16z crypto leading the investment.
Scene Infrastructure Company will be led by Jose Mejia, a long-time DAO contributor who previously served as DAO Product Lead at Dapper Labs, as well as Ethan Daya, co-founder of Zora. They also have Neesh Chaudhary as Design Director, who has provided design services for companies such as Google, Metalabel, and Rabbithole.
Jose stated, "The relationships between communities, individuals within communities, their on-chain assets, and their off-chain experiences are an area that has not been fully explored. As technology continues to mature, we are excited to explore these key points and build something that is more widely appealing. Our focus is on creating a product that can coordinate these relationships in an engaging and innovative way."
