Ronin Network has completed the Shillin hard fork this week: the time required for block finalization is reduced to 6 seconds
Sky Mavis, the development company behind the blockchain game Axie Infinity, revealed on social media that the Ronin Network blockchain that supports this game has completed the Shillin hard fork this week. Inspired by Ethereum 2.0, this hard fork introduced a voting process to accelerate the final determination of blocks. As Ronin uses DPoS, only 22 validators were selected, and the voting process could be completed in two blocks. The time required for block final determination has been reduced from 45 seconds to 6 seconds.
